Primary Education and Mock Caucus Training

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

As we gear up for the upcoming elections in Missouri, we are excited to invite you to participate in our Mock Caucus and Primary Education Seminar, which will be held on February 25 at 2:30pm in the Forest Park Visitor's Center (5595 Grand Dr, St. Louis, MO 63112). This event aims to provide valuable insights into the caucus and primary processes, ensuring that you are well-informed and prepared to actively engage in the democratic process.

As you may or may not have heard, with the passage of H.B. 1878, there are no longer state-run primaries in Missouri, which means that each party will hold their own respective elections to nominate their presidential candidates. While the Missouri Democratic Party has chosen to hold primary elections, similar to those held by the state government in past years, the Missouri GOP has elected to hold their nomination elections in the form of in-person caucuses.

Because of these changes to the election process, and especially because the caucus process is new to many Missouri voters, we will hold an educational session ahead of these nomination elections where members of our community can learn about both of these upcoming elections and participate in a mock caucus where participants can 'elect' their favorite Asian snacks, which will also be provided for consumption.

This event will take place at the Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center in Forest Park, on Sunday, February 25th, from 2:30-5pm, and at this event we hope to cover the following topics:

  1. Overview of the Caucus and Primary Systems

  2. Mock Caucus Simulation

  3. Understanding the Importance of Primaries

  4. Q&A Session

  5. Voter Registration Information

This seminar is designed to be interactive, educational, and engaging. Whether you're a seasoned voter or a first-time participant, this event will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to make informed decisions during the upcoming elections.

We believe that an informed electorate is crucial for a thriving democracy, and we look forward to seeing you at the seminar. If you have any questions or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us here at themaayfoundation@gmail.com.
